Four major experimental methods for leak detection of oil tanks in skid-mounted fuel station

As the core component of the skid-mounted fuel station, the quality of the oil tank cannot be ignored. Therefore, after production and processing are completed, the oil tank of the sled mounted gas station must first be subjected to leakage testing. Currently, there are four common methods for testing oil tank leakage, including water leakage testing, air tightness testing, leakage testing experiment, and air tightness testing of the storage tank.

1. Water leakage test

The surface of the machinery and equipment should be cleaned and sufficiently dry. After water injection, the decision should be made based on the time required for observation and inspection. In the experiment, it was found that there was no leakage during welding, which met the standard.

2. Airtightness testing

Carry out air tightness testing on the machinery and equipment to slowly increase the working pressure. After meeting the required experimental working pressure, maintain the pressure for ten minutes and then reduce it to the design working pressure. Apply soap solution externally to the welding and connection positions, and check if there are no bubbles to meet the standard.

3. Penetration test experiment

The gasoline penetration method is used to inspect the welding of machinery and equipment. The welding of machinery and equipment is plastered with rock powder slurry on the outside, and after drying, gasoline is brushed inside. After 30 minutes of inspection, if there are no gasoline leakage or black spots, it is considered to meet the standard.

4. Gas tightness testing of oil storage tanks

Carry out air tightness testing on the machinery and equipment to slowly increase the working pressure. After meeting the required experimental working pressure, maintain the pressure for ten minutes and then reduce it to the design working pressure. Apply soap solution externally to the welding and connection positions, and check if there are no bubbles to meet the standard.
